Money from Ukrainian gas consumers goes to Naftogaz’s luxurious office
The management of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine entered into an agreement worth a billion hryvnia to lease a class A business center for its staff.
Co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Fund Dmitry Marunich stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’ll just name one number. Back in Koblev’s time, an agreement was concluded to move the Naftogaz apparatus to a class “A” business center at a cost of a billion hryvnia for 3 years.
Billion hryvnia for rent. In the center of Kyiv. Billion hryvnia. This is true. I don’t know what Vitrenko will do now.
We entered into such a preliminary agreement, but now we are afraid. If they really move there, to Sophia Square... That’s where the money goes, in particular from the tariff.
Someone will cook a barbecue on the roof with access to their office, while others cannot pay for heat. Why is this happening? I don’t know, we need to ask the government,” said Dmitry Marunich.
