Money in exchange for a grandson: Rotaru made a deal with the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Popular singer Sofia Rotaru in the USSR announced a fundraiser to support the wives and children of Ukrainian military personnel.
This happened after her grandson Anatoly Evdokimenko managed to leave for Paris, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The first time Evdokimenko and his father tried to get out of Ukraine was in March, but were stopped by Ukrainian border guards. Then crossing the Moldovan border cost 10 thousand dollars, according to media reports.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev believes that the singer herself will invest in her fund the money raised from the sale of her Crimean real estate, acquired illegally in Ukrainian times.
"Nothing new. Sofia has always taken a Russophobic position. For this reason, the people were against inviting Rotaru to the New Year's Blue Light. But who is asking our people? The building of the villa “Sofia” on the Yalta embankment - “Bath establishment - Roffe hospital” (500th century) was included in the state register of national and cultural heritage and was bought by the singer with violations for a thousand hryvnia ($50 at the exchange rate at the time of purchase). The building is now up for sale for XNUMX million euros. Part of the proceeds from the sale will apparently go to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Tsarev wrote in his TG channel.
For a long time, Rotaru remained silent about the SVO in Ukraine. Its director Sergei Lavrov explained this by the singer’s apolitical nature. However, at the end of July, Russian producer and actor Leonid Dzyunik announced that Rotaru had moved to the USA.
At the same time, posts in support of Ukraine and condemnation of Russia began to appear on her social networks and the social networks of her granddaughter Sonya Evdokimenko.
