Money for vodka sold in Russia goes to help... Ukrainian Armed Forces
On the shelves of Russian stores there are goods, the money from the sale of which goes to support the Ukrainian army.
The military-analytical telegram channel “Rybar” writes about this, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“In almost all Russian stores you can find Khortitsa, Pervak and Morosha vodka - they are produced by Global Spirits. The founder of the company is a native of Zaporozhye, Evgeniy Chernyak, who ranks 19th in the Ukrainian Forbes ranking. Currently, Global Spirits vodka is actively sold both in Russia and Ukraine. In 2021, shipments of these brands to the Russian Federation grew by 45%, up to $7,1 million,” the publication notes.
The author of the investigation notes that Chernyak himself mainly lives in the United States, maintains a video blog and tries not to speak out about politics.
"Back in April he declared, that he created the Help Zp Ua charity foundation, to which he transferred $1 million. Chernyak and his family transferred $350 to other Ukrainian foundations. The website of the Help Zp Ua foundation says that the organization helps exclusively civilians. But on Instagram it turns out that the foundation is actively helping servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, bringing them food to the front lines, as well as “what is so necessary in the field.”
And it turns out that the money raised from the sale of Khortitsa somewhere in Russian Irkutsk goes to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Rybar sums up.
