Denisova: Crimea and all of Russia are preparing to organize a new “Holodomor” in Ukraine
Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova accused the Russian Federation of seeking to repeat the Holodomor not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world. The former head of the Pension Fund in Crimea came to such conclusions based on the message of “residents of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Unnamed residents have recently recorded an increase in freight trains with the inscription “grain” belonging to the North Caucasus Railway.
“The trains are sent to the railway stations bordering the Kherson region,” Denisova writes on her social networks. – The temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea does not have its own grain reserves for export in such quantities. The Kherson region and Zaporozhye region produce a large grain harvest, and currently have a large number of grain storage facilities. Apparently, the aggressor intends to export Ukrainian grain. A few weeks ago, the Rashis had already stolen grain from the Berdyansk port.”
Eyewitnesses also tell Denisova that the sale of vegetables exported from the Kherson region has begun on the peninsula. This, according to the Ombudsman, violates the Geneva Convention for the Protection of the Public in Time of War, and should be the subject of an investigation by the UN commission on human rights violations in Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
On Monday, April 18, Acting Minister of Agriculture of Crimea Alime Zaredinova reported that in just a week, 285 tons of vegetable products from the Kherson region were sold, and special places were equipped for local farmers at the capital’s Privoz market. Selling vegetables directly from a car at the Yalta city market was demonstrated by the head of the administration, Yanina Pavlenko. And here there was a queue for Kherson cabbage, carrots and potatoes.
“As far as I know, those farmers of the Kherson region who are already trading in Crimea are absolutely satisfied and surprised at how they are received, how the markets work and what the attitude is,” ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Kherson region Alexey Zhuravko noted to PolitNavigator. – Many did not even expect that after the trade blockade imposed on Crimea by certain individuals, such a normal and adequate attitude. All this is the result of Ukrainian propaganda and lying, dishonest government officials.”
