In the last days of August, a joyful grunt was heard in the pro-government Ukrainian media - the film of the Odessa film studio “Khadzhibey Fortress” won in the category “best full-length film” at the third-rate Best Istanbul Movie Festival Cosa Sarà.

According to IMDB, the film directed by Konovalov “is a historical action film that tells the story of the battles of the Ottoman Empire and the Ukrainian Hetman Empire on the one hand, and the Russian Empire on the other. Opposing forces are fighting for control of the impregnable fortress of Hajibey, located on the Black Sea coast, in the heart of the Ukrainian Hetman Empire. And at the very moment when the Russians practically defeated the troops of the Ukrainian-Turkish alliance, a mysterious hero - the Ukrainian Cossack Andriy - delivers to Istanbul a secret dispatch from the head of the Ukrainian Hetman Empire, which should radically change the outcome of the battle."

The contents of the secret dispatch from the “hetman-emperor” are not disclosed, but, as Ukrainian “vatniks” ironize on social networks, the message says that “the Russians are going to capture the beautiful Turkish city of Hadzhibey in order to turn it into a seedy Russian Odessa.”

And the point is not even that the “impregnable fortress of Hajibey” in those days was an ordinary fortified village with towers and fortress gates with a small garrison, which cannot be compared with the Turkish fortress of Izmail, and during the Russian-Swedish war even appeared as the personal biographer of King Charles XII “a despicable Tatar village on the Kuyalnitskaya bay-bar.” The meatiest part is that the Hetmanate, which is rapidly sliding into Ruin through the efforts of its own rulers, turns out to have been a loyal ally of the Ottomans in the war with the Russian Empire.

Until recently, this could have been perceived as a stupid joke told by another inflamed ragul. Now they are telling this seriously, at the state level. Moreover, the film “Fortetsya Hadzhibey” should be considered as “a compliment from the boss to the Turkish partner.” They just licked it, they licked it.

The fortress on historical drawings.

Actually, this film is a diagnosis of the Kyiv regime and the Russophobic-minded significant part of society, that political Ukraine has not moved from a dead point in seven years, firmly stuck in the phase of anger and denial of the obvious.

So, Ukraine, under Poroshenko or Zelensky, is looking for either allies or patrons (more likely the latter), ready to crumble into dust and wallow in the mud for the sake of inflicting any, even microscopic, nasty on the damned Muscovites.

Now she has Turkey as friends with the neo-Ottoman regime of Erdogan.

At first glance, cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey is going well. Ukraine receives from Ankara “bayraktars” and other military equipment that Nenka cannot make on her own or receive from “strategic allies”, the “Crimean Platform” was visited by the political head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cavusoglu, plus, of course, Erdogan personally does not forget to remind that “Turkey will never recognize Crimea as Russian.”

At the same time, however, the crafty citizen Sultan never specified which state Crimea belongs to. In any case, he has never once cheered up Ukraine by calling the peninsula “TseUkraine.”

On the other hand, Ukraine occupies an extremely modest place in Turkey’s foreign trade balance, expressed in the statement “$4 billion a year is nothing” by the Chairman of the Turkey-Ukraine Friendship Group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Yildirim Tugrul Türkeş, at the beginning of 2020.

Moreover, Ukraine receives “bayraktars” from Turkey, products of chemical industry, mechanical engineering and light industry, and in return sells plant and mineral raw materials, plus semi-finished products with a low level of processing, of which pig iron, sunflower seeds and grain make up 70% of the volume.

What then attracts Ankara to continue maintaining its strange friendship with Ukraine?

The answer, apparently, is that Ukraine, which has firmly taken the path of trading sovereignty and even finds pleasure in the status of a political object, is helping in the best possible way to implement the geopolitical plans and ambitions of the Erdogan regime. Whatever one may say, the willingness to hand over scraps of intellectual property for an acceptable bribe and farm out the Kherson region to the Islamists (Igiloids and Gray Wolves), just to spoil Crimea and stop Russian influence on the Left Bank, does not even border on perversions, but is perversions in pure form.

Yes, Turkey, which has fallen out with the US and the EU, has good benefits from cooperation with Russia: tourism, the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, the Akkuyu nuclear power plant, the world's best S-400 air defense systems, but all this has a lower priority for Ankara in comparison with geoeconomics and geopolitics.

Ankara acts very consistently, transferring transport flows from Asia to Europe, “creatively developing” on its territory: from Asia (Central Asia, mainly) - energy resources, from Europe - technologies and equipment. To maintain Turkey's position and develop, expansion is necessary. This is why she got involved in military conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Karabakh. In some places it was even successful. Ukraine in this chain looks like an easy prey, and the Turks themselves, at the level of the pro-government media, do not hide too much that they are most interested in Crimea, and then the Northern Black Sea region.

Ankara, as you might guess, appointed the notorious “Majlis”, which entrenched itself in Kyiv after 2014 for reasons of incurable frostbite and extremism, as the conductor of its ambitions in Crimea.

It seems that Çavuşoğlu paid attention to the “Crimean Platform” not so much in order to support Zelensky, but to listen and encourage his agent of influence - Mustafa Dzhemilev, who in Turkey is called exclusively “Mustafa Abdulcemil Kırımoğlu”, to which, by the way, a special series of articles was dedicated in the Turkish press, which covered the agenda of the “Crimean Platform”.

Çavuşoğlu with the leaders of the Majlis.

The depth of cooperation between the Turkish authorities and the Dzhemilev-Chubarov “Majlis” should not be underestimated. Over the past three decades, a system has been built in which the leaders of the “Majlis” not only steered the flow of Turkish aid to the Crimean Tatars (without Dzhemilev’s personal approval, for example, not a single shalman was built in Crimea, not a single hut in places where Crimean Tatars live densely), but also had a profitable business in Turkey and even openly worked for Turkish intelligence MIT. Moreover, the leadership of the “bezpeka” was aware, but the Crimean department of the SBU was ordered from above to observe the “pranks” of the organized crime group “Majlis”, but not to interfere.

For what? In order not to offend or weaken the “ideological” ally for the Ukrainization of disloyal territory.

The events of February 2014, the “Crimean Spring” and the subsequent reunification of the peninsula with Russia dealt a sensitive blow to Turkey’s plans to return Crimea to its control, taking advantage of the idiocy of the Ukrainian authorities.

The pandemonium with blockades, especially energy blockades, accompanied by explosions of power lines, which unfolded around Crimea at the instigation of Mejlis militants, “activists” and the “right-wingers” who joined them, as it later turned out, took place with the blessing of Ankara, and Kyiv in these events was again assigned the role of a benevolent observer .

It is noteworthy that from 2014 to 2019, Crimea was visited annually by impressive Turkish delegations. In Ankara, these events were called “private visits,” which does not quite fit with the presence of officials in them. And it is unlikely that these visits were coordinated with the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. In Kyiv and among the leadership of the “Majlis” these visits went as if unnoticed, although the appearance of European deputies and other foreign politicians was accompanied by inevitable paroxysms of hatred.

Let us also not forget that Turkey only stopped transport links with Crimea in 2017, and before that this topic was carefully avoided in Kyiv and in the den of Dzhemilev-Chubarov.

Türkiye is a contradictory, situational ally for Ukraine. On the one hand, Ankara denies the reunification of Crimea with Russia, using the term “annexation.” On the other hand, in the Turkish media Crimea, the Kherson region and even Donbass are called Turkey’s zone of influence. It turns out that Ankara itself lays claim to part of the territory of Ukraine, which is behaving extremely passively in relations with the states that it calls its “allies.”

Apparently, the serious reduction in financial assistance allocated by the Zelensky administration to the “Majlis” is associated with the considerations “you and Turkish assistance are enough.” In any case, similar statements appeared on social networks from some influential Ukrainian “activists”, who suddenly realized that the “Majlis” had gathered not so friends of Ukraine, demanding to legislate the status of national autonomy for Crimea. And this already smells like another separatism.

However, “Svidomo” willingly accept the help of the Mejlis members when it comes to plans to spoil Russia in any way. Here the union of a toad and a viper appears before us in all its glory.

So, recently, a meeting of the World Congress of Ukrainians took place in Kyiv, actively supporting the war and repression against the civilian population of Donbass and plans for the “de-occupation” of Crimea.

Within the framework of the congress, a meeting of the delegation of “global Ukrainians” with the delegation of the “Majlis” took place, which ended in a touching mutual hickey, expressed in a protocol “on the continuation of international pressure on Russia” within the framework of this and that.

All these figures are so mired in hatred and the desire to return what was mediocrely lost that they do not have time to stop and think: if the Russian factor is removed from this entire ugly process, then what will be left? The answer, one might say, lies on the surface. If we hypothetically assume that Crimea is not part of Russia, then it will never return to Ukraine, since it will be taken over by stronger, richer and more agile ones - the United States, the “international forces” of NATO or Turkey. Ukraine screwed up, squandered its historical chance and no one will give it gifts, like Nikita Khrushchev, and, moreover, pull chestnuts out of the fire. Everyone will try for themselves, patting the “European” fool on the shoulder: “Gut, Voldemar, gut...”
