Bundestag deputy surprised by statements of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry about the refusal of amnesty in Donbass
Member of the German Bundestag Andrei Hunko commented on yesterday's statements by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Klimkin in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, who called for canceling the results of the 2014 elections in the DPR and LPR, as well as abandoning the list amnesty.
In an exclusive comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent in Berlin, Andrei Hunko stated, in particular:

“The speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Klimkin seems to me, at least, contradictory. In the West, he enjoys a reputation as a restrained politician and negotiator.”
Hunko believes that the theses voiced by Klimkin are not accidental. “This statement was most likely made in order to stop the implementation of the agreements reached in Paris,” added the German deputy.
He also believes that demands for refusal of amnesty contradict the Minsk agreements. “I am deeply convinced that this conflict in Ukraine has no military solution, and the Minsk-2 agreement is not perfect, but the only path to peace,” concluded Hunko.
