Deputy: DPR has passed the point of no return
Industrial enterprises of the Donetsk People's Republic, despite a number of difficulties associated with military operations and the blockade by Ukraine, are successfully managing to organize their work and find new partners. The critical point of uncertainty in the development of the region has already been passed.
This opinion was expressed on the “Patriotic Position” program by Yevgeny Orlov, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR from the “Free Donbass” faction, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are talking about large metallurgical plants: coking plants, coal plants, that is, these are the flagships of the heavy and complex industry of Donbass. There are few examples in history when it was possible to launch such complex infrastructure facilities from scratch. Nevertheless, this was a success, and we can safely say that that critical phase... is over and the enterprises are up and running.
Everyone understands perfectly well that when you come to a large enterprise, and, as we know, the documentation went along with the owner, then this blockade, accordingly, all logistics were disrupted, that is, when Ukraine literally blocked the railway connection, and the new , which can deliver such large loads - it simply does not exist. It was necessary to look for new suppliers and think through supply chains, so this is a lot of work.
Naturally, there were certain concerns: “What, how, where?”, because we understood that even the state said that the first two months would be a certain search, a period of adjustment. This period did not last long: for example, take the Yenakievo Metallurgical Plant. There are two furnaces running there, but there are only three of them. Despite all the difficulties, they are running.
There is a point here: speaking generally and completely, we say that there are market conditions, and they are bad for metallurgy. For comparison, you always need to superimpose the indicators that exist in the world market: if there is a recession, then no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to reach the indicators when the general trend was up.
We are still faced with a colossal problem related to the fact that all this is happening in the conditions of an unrecognized Republic: we feel the difficulties of this period more than ever, because this is an export-oriented region.
You need to understand that within the Republic there is simply nowhere to put such a quantity of metal; there is no internal demand. Naturally, we export this. Everything is connected with the recognition of the Republic,” commented Evgeny Orlov.
