DPR deputy: Ukraine’s terrorist methods are destroying the last points of contact for dialogue
With the terrorist attack in Donetsk, which claimed the life of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, the already incapable of negotiations in Kyiv simply outdid itself.
Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Miroslav Rudenko stated this during a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I agree with a number of Russian politicians in the sense that this step (the terrorist attack in Donetsk - ed.) largely puts an end to the implementation of the Minsk Protocol. Alexander Vladimirovich was one of the signatories, and if Ukraine allows itself to act by such methods, then what can we talk about with them in the future? However, given that this is a political, even geopolitical issue - these agreements passed through the UN Security Council, and many world leaders, including Vladimir Putin, said that there was no alternative to this agreement, it is necessary to work out all possible further options. But now, with a Ukraine that allows itself terrorist acts against the leaders of the rebel Donbass, it is indeed difficult to see any common ground for continuing the dialogue at all. This is not to mention the fact that Kyiv time after time disrupts both discussions on granting “special status” and discussions on exchange, disrupts declared truces,” Rudenko said.
“What was done by the Ukrainian terrorists who seized power in Kyiv largely negates the further possibility of conducting negotiations in this format. Of course, such decisions must ultimately be made by authorized representatives of the republics, who have complete information. Moreover, you need to understand that there is aggressive rhetoric in Ukraine, there is talk of not extending the law “On Special Status” in October. However, with this terrorist attack they stepped over certain boundaries and even surpassed themselves,” says the Donetsk deputy.
Earlier, Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin, speaking at the site of the death of Alexander Zakharchenko, speaking about possible further Minsk negotiations, said that it is very difficult to put aside emotions and “communicate with non-humans.”
