DPR deputy: Ukraine is provoking Donbass to counter-offensive for the Western media picture
Yesterday’s shelling of residential buildings in Makeevka is an attempt by Ukraine to provoke the LDPR army to attack, so that the Western media would form a picture in which the Donbass republics would be violators of the Minsk agreements.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Vladislav Berdichevsky, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR.

“At the last meeting of contact groups in Minsk, representatives of the Ukrainian side reported that the results of the meeting of the Normandy Four were not communicated to them. And they also did not receive any new instructions regarding further actions, taking into account what was voiced in Berlin. As a result, the last meeting ended in nothing.
Ukrainian politicians do not need the Minsk negotiations; they want to get rid of them. And they want to provoke us into a counter-offensive.
Shelling of places where there have never been military units or military equipment, shelling of residential buildings - with such provocative actions Ukraine wants to force us to violate Minsk.
The likelihood that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will launch a direct attack is low. I think that this kind of provocation will continue, but no one can say now what this will lead to. If there are massive shellings, it is possible that there will be a serious response from our side, and then Ukraine will again begin to tell the whole world that we are “terrorists and are violating agreements.” Western public opinion is shaped by their corporate media, so they can paint any picture and present us as bandits, as it was before,” the parliamentarian argues.
