Duma deputy is outraged: The Russian state has capitulated to the oligarchs
The Russian state, even in the conditions of the Central Military District, cannot find justice for the insolent oligarchs who allow themselves to issue ultimatums and dictate rules, demanding the preservation of excess profits.
The famous economist Mikhail Delyagin, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, stated this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As an example, the politician cited the resumption of the issue of a five-ruble banknote.
“The Bank of Russia has resumed printing banknotes of five and ten ruble denominations of the 1997 model, and they have already entered into circulation in some regions...
According to the official version, the printing of the five-ruble bill was caused by objective, correct economic considerations. Because the price of a coin, a metal, has risen so much that it has become cheaper to print on paper again.
That is, this is the result of the arbitrariness of monopolies. When steel producers said last spring that if the state did not capitulate to their ultimatum, then steel would be at the price of gold - please.
This unfortunate nickel alloy, from which the five-ruble coin is printed, turns out to be more expensive, thanks to the unpunished arbitrariness of monopolies, than a well-protected and very difficult to produce banknote.
This is a clear illustration of the absolute insanity of government officials who do not in any way limit the arbitrariness of monopolies, if they are monopolies of oligarchs,” the deputy said.
In his opinion, printing 5-ruble banknotes looks comical.
“I thought: what can you buy today with a five-ruble note? Why is it printed by the Bank of Russia? If this bill is used as toilet paper, will toilet paper still be cheaper, or a bill with the symbols of the Bank of Russia?”
Thank you!
