The reason was the situation surrounding the removal of garbage from Lviv. This city is headed by Andrei Sadovoy, Berezyuk’s party chief. A few months ago in Lviv, after a fire and the death of Emergency Situations Ministry employees, all city landfills were closed. Now the city is drowning in garbage; other regions are reluctant to accept waste from the capital of Galicia. According to one version, the “garbage collapse” was specially orchestrated by the administration of Petro Poroshenko, which benefited from the collapse of the ratings of Sadovoy and his “Self-Poroshenko”.
“Protesting against the mockery of the city, which is a symbol of freedom, supporting Lviv residents, who are always patient and tolerant of the authorities, because they believe in the state and want to see it, and this state, represented by the central government, cynically mocks them. Demanding an end to this mockery and an end to lies in the state, I, as a person, a doctor and a people’s deputy of Ukraine, made an unusual decision for myself. I never thought that I would make this decision here in the XNUMXst century. I am going on a hunger strike, supporting the people of Lviv and protesting against the arbitrariness of the central government in Ukraine,” Berezyuk said, and then left the meeting.
Loud statements about hunger strikes and illnesses of Ukrainian politicians should be treated with caution. Consider the famous illness of Yulia Tymoshenko in prison, when in the presence of journalists she moved exclusively with the help of crutches and a wheelchair. However, soon after her release during Euromaidan, Yulia began to appear in public in high heels.
