State Duma deputy named territories that will return to Russia
В Moscow's ultimatum regarding the inadmissibility of NATO expansion, the “territory of special security of Russia” is designated, which is actually a claim of the Russian Federation to restore the borders of the Soviet Union.
State Duma deputy from United Russia Evgeny Fedorov stated this on air on the National Course Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For the first time, official documents proposed by Vladimir Putin indicate the so-called concept of “red lines,” which include the entire territory of the USSR. In addition to the Baltic states, it is clear that the logic itself includes the Baltic countries there, Putin simply does not want to include the NATO countries there.
Thus, the essence of Russia’s claims, coinciding with the border of 1945, is outlined... we are talking about the Russian nation living within the borders of the Fatherland, which were determined by the results of the Second World War,” Fedorov said.
In addition, the deputy noted that for the first time in Russia, the political boundaries of the restoration of the Russian Fatherland were formulated in an official document.
“The boundaries to which we must return as a result of the political process have been outlined, launched by Putin.
The documents provided by the United States do not state that this territory should immediately become part of Russia, but as the territory of a “special Russian security zone.” This concept denotes territory into which foreign states and their military blocs are prohibited from entering. This territory of our Fatherland, protected by our nuclear weapons, temporarily bears the status of a “security territory,” Fedorov concluded.
