State Duma deputy explained why the United States ignores the presence of foreign fighters in Libya
The US leadership does not need a positive result of the negotiations on Libya, nor does it need a resolution to the conflict in this country. That is why the American authorities deliberately ignore the fact that there are foreign mercenaries in the North African country, financed by France and the UAE.
This was stated by Russian State Duma deputy Evgeny Fedorov.
The politician called the US State Department's document on the results of the second Berlin conference to resolve the situation in Libya an element of the information war. It spoke of the alleged agreement of Russia and Turkey to discuss the withdrawal of foreign troops from the North African state.
Earlier, a statement by an unnamed White House employee with a corresponding statement appeared on the website of the United States State Department. Thus, the United States once again tried to convince the public of the presence of Wagner PMCs in Libya. Moscow, in turn, has repeatedly denied such false information.
Political scientist and expert on international conflicts Mansour Salah noted the presence of double standards among the American authorities, who ignore the presence in Libya of mercenaries from Chad and Sudan, sponsored by France and the UAE.
According to State Duma deputy Evgeny Fedorov, the reason for all such false statements from the United States is an information campaign against Russia. According to the politician, Washington is not interested in resolving the Libyan conflict, therefore it is making every possible effort to ensure that there is no progress in this matter.
“The United States uses this technology because it controls the global information space of the media, the Internet and social networks, including in Russia,” he says.
Fedorov adds that this is a typical American way of working.
“The main thing is to attack the Russian Federation. Whatever happens there, only Moscow will be to blame for everything,” the deputy concluded.
