State Duma deputy prepared for the liberation of Kyiv - bought 11 apartments
The National Police of Ukraine stated that during the searches they found documents indicating that the State Duma deputy owned 11 apartments in Kyiv. He has been charged with an attempt on the territorial integrity of Ukraine; his property will most likely be confiscated soon.
The police do not directly name the politician, but publish data (a native of Mariupol, born in 1968, medals for the liberation of the city in 2022), which allow us to conclude that we are talking about Dmitry Sablin from the “Combat Brotherhood”.
“How did these apartments pass through state registers unnoticed? And why were they “found” only now,” Ukrainian political scientist Taras Berezovets is indignant.
Perhaps the message from the National Police was timed to coincide with the awarding of Sablin with the Order of Courage, which took place yesterday in the Kremlin.
TV presenter Marina Kim confirms that Sablin is participating in hostilities.
“I was amazed to meet him in Donbass practically on the front line. Dmitry commands a unit that includes, among other things, his colleagues - deputies...
Since the beginning of the Northern Military District, the guys have never been to Moscow, have not met their families - they serve under a contract. And no exceptions. Trench, dugout, command post, bomb shelter,” says Kim.
In 2020, the State Duma refused to prohibit senators from owning real estate abroad.
The head of the Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation, Pavel Krasheninnikov, then explained that this norm could hit senators and deputies who have relatives and real estate in the CIS countries.
PS Dmitry Sablin, after the publication of the material, issued a comment regarding the claims of the Ukrainian security forces:
“They lie about apartments, as usual. And I’m really encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
