The State Duma deputy admitted the mistakes of the SVO and explained why one should not be sad for those who fled from mobilization
Despite the mistakes made during the Northeast Military District, Russia is going through a great time, acquiring new territories and population.
State Duma deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik stated this on the ForPost Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Belik, one should not feel sorry for those who left the country due to the announced partial mobilization, because at the same time, the population of Russia increased due to the citizens of the new territories.
“You know, if we talk in general about the time that we are going through now, it is, of course, difficult, tragic in part because our guys are dying, but it is also great, we are growing into new territories, no matter what anyone says, we remain and become a stronger, more powerful country. Yes, through some mistakes, somewhere, perhaps in military terms, we thought so, but it went like this, but now we will not evaluate the actions of the Ministry of Defense or anyone else, there is someone to evaluate...
It is also important that during this period the country is cleansed. We are purifying ourselves because there are people who volunteer, there are people who go to Donetsk and Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson with different missions. And there is, like at the border, this crossing from Georgia, Kazakhstan, there are people who are simply fleeing the country. This is their choice, their right, we have it, everyone has a choice. I understand it, but I don’t share it.
I think that it would be right if a person left, well, he should have left = and then never returned... You say that many people leave. Well, let it be hundreds of thousands, objectively. Firstly, this is a fraction of a percent, maybe one percent of the population, and even then it will not be in the Russian Federation. Let us understand, how much has the population of the Russian Federation increased due to the annexation of new territories? In my opinion, 7,5 million are the people who added to our potential,” Belik said.
