A State Duma deputy spoke about attempts to “absorb” Sevastopol by neighboring Simferopol
A number of federal departments are trying to downgrade the status of their representative offices in Sevastopol, a separate subject of the Russian Federation, to branches of Crimean units based in the neighboring Republic of Crimea.
State Duma deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik stated this on the ForPost Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, only the FSB can remain “common” with Crimea.
“This year we gave our metrologists, the Center for Standardization and Metrology, 82 million for the purchase of equipment. This year they received new equipment, they remained a Sevastopol institution, although there was an attempt and a draft decree of Rosstandart on reassignment to Simferopol was already ready.
As, unfortunately, we have some institutions, like the Antimonopoly Service, others are reassigned, and Sevastopol becomes only a branch.
That is, we did not allow this to happen at the Center for Standardization and Metrology, work was carried out, and I participated in it.
Sevastopol is a city of federal significance. We must have our own FAS, our own Russian Guard. This is communication at the federal level with ministers, with deputy ministers, in the government to raise this issue...
I even asked these questions two, three years ago. We returned the Department of Justice from Crimea to Sevastopol. That is, we have our own department of justice and we must have all structures based in Sevastopol. Well, with reservations, maybe the Federal Security Service, taking into account its characteristics, will remain within these frameworks,” Belik said.
Thank you!
