“The challenges that the country faces, those problems, have not been solved, but no one wants to solve them, because they believe that the time is not ripe for a mobilization economy, and we will somehow hold out anyway. Everything is not as bad as Putin says,” – the presenter asked the topic.

“In general, the mobilization economy is a transition from theft to development. You don’t have to live badly to make this transition. This is a way to live well. But for people who associate themselves with speculators, this is the end of the world, and in this situation I understand them well.

The mobilization economy is the responsibility of officials. That’s why they don’t go for it, not because everything is fine,” Delyagin explained.

“Can we target inflation, as our Central Bank likes to do, and on the other hand, still, without letting it go beyond some reasonable limits, invest in the development of the country, in infrastructure projects?” – asked the radio host.

“Budget investments do not have any impact on inflation. Our growth in budget investments from federal budgets this year amounted to 45% in some months, while inflation at this time was declining both officially and in reality.

It's not a matter of inflation and interest rates, it's a matter of the condition of the people who govern us. When the first deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia (Ksenia Yudaeva - ed.) tells us that the higher the volume of goods production, the higher the inflation - this person is not crazy, he is not in a mental hospital, he does not teach at the Higher School of Economics, he runs the Bank of Russia.

But she really believes what she says. She doesn’t lie to us, she tells us what she believes, because the task at any cost is to prevent the development of Russia. Including by putting forward frankly delusional theses.

For people of the intellectual level Yudaeva, Nabiullina (head of the Central Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina - ed.) - this is, of course, a sincere faith. There, with the intellect, everything is very clear, it’s transparent and serious to discuss that these people are capable of complex intellectual constructions, like the fact that I rule Russia, but I associate myself with another country, and I want Russia to be worse, this is not about them,” – said the deputy.

“Explain to me, a simple Russian person, why Nabiullina has been head of the Central Bank for so long (10 years?), and Putin trusts her?” - the presenter specified.

“I think her neckline is right, that’s all,” Delyagin suggested.
