State Duma deputy: Our standard of living is four times higher than in Ukraine
Russia gently but strongly influences Ukraine by the very fact of its existence. State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov stated this on the Russian TV channel TVC.
“Russia itself is an instrument of soft power.” Now our standard of living is four times higher than in Ukraine. This is a soft power factor. And the Crimean Bridge, which will be launched in a few days, is another factor. There are any number of such factors.
Russia is a developing country that is looking to the future, which has a serious historical foundation, its own statehood, sovereignty, a sense of national dignity, and its own values. All of these are factors of soft power that Ukraine, unfortunately, does not possess,” Nikonov said.
