After the tragedy of May 2, 2014, the Ukrainian special services intimidated local residents so much that pro-Russian Odessa residents will only appear when Russian regular troops enter the city.

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Anatoly Wasserman said this on air on the YouTube channel “ATO Donetsk,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Wasserman, as a native of Odessa, was asked whether liberation troops were waiting in the city.

“I think they are waiting, but silently. As far as I have heard, literally in the first couple of weeks after May 2, the SBU created several “underground organizations”, and this bait, like bait, pulled out many of those who were ready to participate in the fight against this coup. And now those who are ready are most likely trying not to show it. They will appear only at the very last moment, when regular forces actually enter Odessa,” the deputy replied.
