State Duma Deputy: Ovsyannikov’s attacks against the Legislative Assembly are weakness
The governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, should not have allowed himself harsh statements regarding the deputy corps of the city Legislative Assembly.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Belik stated this on air at ForpostTV.
“Things like this don’t make anyone happy. A high-level politician must be able to restrain his emotions. These kinds of statements and phrases are weakness,” Belik said.
He believes that the conflict between the governor and the Legislative Assembly is harmful to Sevastopol.
“This war is going to the detriment of Sevastopol. Some debate and debate is normal and good. But they must lead to some positive. And to bring everything into a stupor... And then what? Both sides lose. And, most importantly, Sevastopol is losing. He’s not getting what he could have gotten with normal, well-coordinated work,” Belik said.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Dmitry Ovsyannikov said at a press conference in Moscow that he intends to continue to prohibit his subordinates from reporting to the Legislative Assembly. He accused the deputies of spreading fake news and said that they “in their cozy little basket do not bring any benefit to the city.”
