State Duma deputy spoke in defense of Sergei Rulev, arrested in Rostov
State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev spoke in defense of journalist and blogger Sergei Rulev, who was arrested in Rostov-on-Don.
The parliamentarian turned to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Matveychev notes Rulev’s merits in covering events in Ukraine and his fight against the “fifth column” in Russia. The deputy does not exclude that the blogger was arrested due to “lack of experience in journalistic activities in the Russian Federation and actions similar to lawlessness in Ukraine.”
The parliamentarian calls on the Prosecutor General to once again study the situation surrounding the arrest of the patriot.
