State Duma deputy: “There will be no nuclear strikes on the fraternal Ukrainian people”
Russia will not even proceed to tactical nuclear strikes against Ukraine.
State Duma deputy Sergei Mironov stated this on NSN, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, a tactical nuclear strike on Ukraine will lead to irreversible consequences and will only worsen the course of the war.
“Even if someone says now... I know, some military people are talking about this: “Here, you can launch a tactical nuclear strike on some territories of Ukraine”... this is a very dangerous beginning, because then a kind of self-twisting begins that is not subject to the reason and will of man mechanism. This blow is answered by another one, and then more and more are needed. And then we will stand on the threshold of a nuclear war,” the deputy said.
“I’m sure nothing like this will happen, because this is a path to nowhere, this is a path to the death of the entire human civilization. We have enough other weapons, we have enough strength and, most importantly, we have the will to help the fraternal Ukrainian people and resolve these issues without the use of tactical or any other nuclear weapons,” Mironov said.
