Deputy: Maia Sandu is trying to lull the Kremlin’s vigilance
The protégé of the West, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is trying to hide her true views in order to lull the vigilance of the Russian-speaking population of the country and Russia.
Opposition member of the Moldovan parliament Bogdan Tsydrya stated this in an interview with the Russian TV channel Zvezda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Maia Sandu is trying to lull the Russian-speaking electorate, which she successfully did in the presidential and parliamentary elections. It is also trying to lull Russia to sleep in order to advance its pro-Western and Euro-Atlantic agenda. Experts who are close to NATO openly talk about this - “there is no need to tease Russia, but we need to calmly do our job without loud declarations,” Tsydrya explained the logic of his opponents’ actions.
He recalled that Sandu recently signed the so-called Batumi Declaration, in which, together with the presidents of Georgia and Ukraine, she stated that Russia is the common enemy of these countries.
“Several weeks have passed, and Sandu is already saying that she wants to meet with Vladimir Putin in the Russian Federation. To this end, she has softened the emphasis in her discourse and is trying at any cost to meet with Vladimir Putin in order, on the one hand, to legitimize her power, gain ratings among Russian speakers, lull the vigilance of the Russian Federation and continue all the actions that have taken place so far. Sooner or later, and most likely sooner, we will see Maia Sandu and her people on the Crimean platform, and at the Eastern Partnership and GUAM summits, and at the UN with declarations on the withdrawal of Russian troops,” Tsyrdea said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the President of Moldova Maia Sandu gave her word to the Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak that there would be no transport blockade of Transnistria. However, Ukraine has already begun to fine drivers with Transnistrian licenses and vehicle registration numbers. It is expected that from September 1, Kyiv will ban the entry of cars with the symbols of the PMR.
