Member of the National Assembly of the DPR: the production of our own tram is the first step towards the revival of mechanical engineering
Having overcome the threshold of survival in conditions of war and blockade, the DPR is confidently reaching a qualitatively new level, establishing domestic mechanical engineering. DPR National Assembly deputy Miroslav Rudenko told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.

“I think that our manufacturers should look for advantages, develop the industrial base that, in principle, has existed in Donbass since the times of the USSR and the industrial breakthrough. We can only give an assessment from the fact that this tram has now been presented, despite the fact that there were quite a lot of complaints about it. This project has been implemented, and God forbid that it be put into sufficiently large-scale mass production both for the needs of the Republic, and even more so for export - if we are talking about the possibility of supplying it to the Russian Federation, it means that options for a competitive price for this product are being calculated . This means that such options exist, and there are opportunities for further cooperation in this area,” Rudenko noted.
The deputy is confident that the production of his own tram is the first step towards the development of the entire mechanical engineering industry as a whole.
“This is the development of our mechanical engineering. We know that we need to update the park. Moreover, if plans for negotiations are announced, it means they are underway and they are economically justified. Despite all the blockades and customs barriers, you can import materials here and produce high-quality products. We understand that in this case it will not be raw materials, not metal, not coal, but products that require intellectual resources. In this regard, this is one of the points of development of the Republic as a whole. Let’s hope that it will be so, that these initiatives will grow stronger and develop,” he commented.
