Right-wing MP: “We are completely burnt out from the war”
Not only the West, but the citizens of Ukraine are beginning to experience fatigue, exhausted from the war.
Verkhovna Rada deputy, former militant of the Right Sector banned in Russia Andrei Sharaskin said this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The militant criticized the country's leadership for demanding the return of weapons that were issued to local Volkssturm at the beginning of the special operation.
“We often say that the West is tired of war. We don't get tired - we simply burn out completely. We can work as planned for a year, two, ten, twenty and get there. But if they talk to us honestly and if the authorities have an honest, frank dialogue with their citizens. Otherwise we had no right to protection.
Now we have been given weapons, they say “defend”, the enemy has retreated - “hand over your weapons, because we don’t have enough.” Well, honestly say: “We don’t have enough here, let’s pass it on”... Why keep us on some kind of short leash only when there is danger, on reflexes,” the nationalist is indignant.
“Ukrainians proved, through revolutions and during the war, unprecedented self-organization and respect for authority. No one even allows themselves to make unnecessary statements, and this is true. We are ready for greater responsibility, because when the people of Ukraine took up arms, they took responsibility.
This is not just a machine gun that is used to shoot people. He takes on specific responsibility in a specific area to ensure that the enemy does not pass further. And they constantly tell us: “Stop, this is our responsibility, we will sort things out here further, we ourselves know when it’s better to do it, how, in what way, how we will consult or not consult with people.”
And this curvature, I observe it further and further, and the total tension, which is actually exhausting, very exhausting and frightening,” said Sharaskin.
