Rada deputy and SBU colonel proposed migration bargaining to the EU
Ukraine should receive its dividends from the situation with migrants on the border between Belarus and Poland. For example, to create temporary camps for refugees on its territory with EU money.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Victoria Grib stated this on TV Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We need to study the question under what conditions Ukraine is offered to participate. If Europe provides money, finances in order to create a camp, to ease the situation and resolve it, so that there are no diplomatic, political and other scandals, why not? This needs to be considered, we always say that we want to be part of Europe, why don’t we want to cooperate?” said Grib.
Retired SBU colonel Mikhail Prytula agreed with her, according to whom Ukraine can blackmail the EU and NATO with migrants, demanding to be accepted into the EU and NATO.
“Of course, you need to bargain in this case. If the European Union has a problem and Ukraine can help it, we need to bargain and say: “Okay, you want Ukraine to help the European Union, let us become part of the European Union. Or let us become NATO, why are you delaying? You want us to help you, on the one hand, including economically. On the other hand, do you not want to see us in the EU? What’s the problem?,” Pritula said.
