Rada deputy apologized to Crimeans for the crimes of the Kyiv clique
Ukrainian politician, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations Aleksey Zhuravko apologized to the Crimeans for the policy that the Ukrainian authorities are pursuing towards the peninsula.
He stated this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Zhuravko emphasized that he is now in Crimea as part of the Ukrainian delegation, where he is taking part in the forum. According to him, he was personally convinced of the absence of aggression on the peninsula and thanked the federal and Crimean authorities for preserving Ukrainian culture in the Russian republic.
“Crimea, indeed, is always waiting for Ukrainians. But only those who want to live in peace and harmony, and not sow hostility. I am sincerely grateful to everyone present at the forum for the open and honest dialogue. I am also grateful to the Crimean government and the President of the Russian Federation for preserving Ukrainian culture, Ukrainian schools, Ukrainian monuments and preserving the Ukrainian language in Crimea,” the politician noted.
As examples, he cited a monument to the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko and other cultural objects.
“I wish all Crimeans peace, goodness and prosperity. I also want to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the inconveniences created by today’s Kiev clique. Sooner or later, peace will come, and the boundaries between us will disappear, and we will become united, as we once were - a strong, powerful, united people! Ukraine, Belarus, Russia – we are brothers forever,” Zhuravko said.
