Rada deputy: “They painted a pussy on the Ukrainian coat of arms”
In Ukraine, the winner of the competition for the best sketch of the large State Emblem of Ukraine has been determined.
The Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Alexander Tkachenko reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The jury received 125 works. Of these, 112 works were accepted for the competition. Several rounds of voting took place. I am glad that today the organizing committee made a decision and a winner was chosen. And this winner is Alexey Kokhan. The Ministry of Culture will conclude an agreement with him,” Tkachenko said.
In the future, this coat of arms will have to be approved by the Verkhovna Rada.
True, the sketch caused a mixed reaction among deputies of the Ukrainian parliament.
“I’m looking at the new Great Ukrainian Coat of Arms. I have only three questions for the creators of this masterpiece. Why did they draw a specific cross on the archangel’s chest, the same as on the official flag of the SBU? And why did they draw a pussy between the lion’s paws? Is this really our state emblem?” ex-Deputy Prosecutor General and Rada deputy Renat Kuzmin wondered in his blog.
