Rada deputy: after recognizing the LDPR, we may lose Ukraine
The Ukrainian leadership must do everything possible to prevent Russia from officially recognizing the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics.
Deputy from “OPZZH” Nestor Shufrich stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
«Vote The State Duma is, of course, a serious complication of a situation that is already extremely complex. We must now not be hysterical, give up some kind of bravado, panic, but calmly think about what to do so that Russia does not finally recognize the so-called LPR and DPR.
We have no right to afford to lose our Ukrainian citizens and the corresponding territories,” he said.
Shufrich proposed to summon the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the leadership of his Office to the Rada with a report on the situation.
“I would now invite the leadership of the Office of the President and the President of Ukraine so that they explain to us their assessment of what happened. You can hype, but you can lose Ukraine through hype,” the deputy concluded.
Let us recall that the day before the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution to appeal to the international community with demand for non-recognition independence of the LDPR.
