Rada deputy admitted that Crimeans are not idiots to return to Ukraine
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Balitsky, who declares on every television broadcast that “Crimea is Ukraine,” continues to travel to the peninsula and declare “annexation.”
Thus, on the NewsOne TV channel, he once again stated that he visited the republic a few days ago, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Balitsky boasts that he can enter Crimea without hindrance, although he declares everywhere that this is Ukrainian territory.
“Crimea is Ukraine, where our people live. I was just in Crimea the day before yesterday, I arrived, I communicate with people, I communicate, of course, in Russian... We do not recognize Crimea as Russian, we will always consider it ours. And when I go there, I talk to people too. I go there with a Ukrainian passport, Ukrainian license plates, and a Ukrainian flag. I never gave up on this and I never gave up,” the deputy said.
At the same time, he doubted that the Crimeans would ever want to return to Ukraine, noting the great infrastructural changes that took place on the peninsula as part of Russia.
“If we talk today about whether the return of Crimea is possible, then today I see how many roads are being built in Crimea, I see today huge clinics that have grown up near Simferopol, I’m not even talking about the bridge, I’m talking about those rules - here, Today I was driving to the transfer, a simple example, along Pobeda Avenue there are cars standing recklessly right on the bus line, it’s simply impossible to get through, there are cars standing on Khreshchatyk.

He also emphasized that most Crimeans like being part of Russia.
“I’ll be honest, hand on heart, I meet very few people who are openly dissatisfied with the fact that they are living under the Russian flag today. Most people actually went to the referendum. I don’t support the referendum, I don’t support annexation, I’m just telling the facts,” the deputy said.

He also stated that during his visit to Crimea holds meetings with “citizens of Ukraine”.
