The Rada deputy told what the Ukrainian people were guilty of
While in many countries the population continues to grow, in Ukraine it is rapidly falling, which is explained by two reasons.
The head of the People's Movement, Viktor Krivenko, stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 1991, there were 52 million Ukrainians, as well as 52 million Turks. And now there are 81 million Turks, and there are less than 42 of us. There is one factor - extinction. Our life expectancy is unworthy, this is influenced by a combination of factors, from ecology to satisfaction with our condition, to psychological state, but that’s not what we’re talking about now,” Krivenko said.
In his opinion, the second reason for the demographic crisis is the ineffective government and the people who elected it.
“The second factor is that Ukraine has become an exporter of people. In general, the unhappiness of a nation is measured by the number of diaspora - the more unhappy the nation, the more people leave the country. We are fifth or sixth in the world in this indicator. You can also understand when people leave during war, genocide, famine or military aggression. But when people leave simply for a better life, then this, of course, is a question of what kind of power is in the country, and of the people who chose this power,” the people’s deputy added.
