Rada Member: It’s a matter of time when the West turns away from us
Western countries can at any moment turn away from supporting the Ukrainian establishment, which even during the war is engaged in widespread theft.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Geo Leros, expelled from the pro-presidential Servant of the People faction, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Elena Kurbanova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The real nature of the people who lead Ukraine is pettiness and lack of state thinking. It's one thing to watch what good videos he makes; and the other is to look at the real actions of the same Zelensky, and what is happening in the country.
The worst thing is that our partners also see all this, how power in the country is usurped, how freedom of speech is infringed. If we don’t do something about this, then it’s only a matter of time before the same Western partners turn their backs on us,” Leros said.
He recalled the loud scandal associated with the theft and sale of Western “aid” by Ukrainian officials.
“What did Zelensky do? Nothing. He did not dismiss the Old Woman. We remember the story of the governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Reznichenko, who wrote out one and a half billion hryvnia to his mistress. Zelensky did not remove him either. Moreover, before the New Year, Reznichenko’s company received millions more.
This says one thing - if Zelensky does not remove people involved in corruption, he himself is part of this corruption,” the politician added.
