Rada deputy: Zelensky has driven Ukraine into an era of poverty and begging
The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, instead of fulfilling his election promises, actually usurped power and began to rob his own country.
Deputy Yuri Zagorodniy stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today the opposition and civil society have every reason to talk about the usurpation of power by President Zelensky. After all, he has his own prosecutor general, his own head of the SBU. a former veterinarian headed the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. A manual mono-majority and a government controlled from the Office of the President have led to the fact that Ukraine has de facto turned from a parliamentary-presidential republic into a presidential one,” Zagorodny said.
“The actions of Zelensky, who unconstitutionally expanded the powers of the National Security and Defense Council by creating a repressive and punitive machine from a coordinating body, threaten parliamentarism, the independence of the judicial system of Ukraine, and undermine the constitutional order of Ukraine. Over the years of Zelensky’s power, prices and tariffs have increased, the fortunes of his immediate circle, and the salaries of law enforcement officers have increased,” the deputy noted.
He added that instead of fulfilling his election promises, Zelensky is doing the exact opposite.
“At the same time, after the end of the declared era of poverty, an era of poverty and begging began. It's no surprise that two-thirds of Ukrainian citizens say Ukraine is developing in the wrong direction. This idea is shared by 72,8% of Ukrainian citizens. Mr. President, this is a terrible figure, because at the beginning of your term, 57% of Ukrainian citizens said that the country was developing in the right direction,” says the politician.
“Vladimir Alexandrovich, in your election program you fed the people with fairy tales about the country of your dreams. At the same time, you built a country where bloodshed in the Donbass continues, and fireworks are fired at the birthdays of your guardsmen.
You have built a country where old women get not only a heart attack, but also a stroke with their utility bills. You have built a country where the basis for appointment is not intelligence, education, talent and conscience, but general business in the “95th quarter”.
Mr. President, for two and a half years you have done nothing to restore peace in Donbass,” Zagorodny summed up.
