Deputy: “Ukraine is trying to strain the Russian Federation, but is leading to the collapse of its own state”
Yesterday's attempt by the Verkhovna Rada to appeal to the United States for the status of a major ally outside NATO is an attempt to create problems for Russia.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is expressed by Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, member of the Committee on International Affairs Seregy Zheleznyak.
“Ukrainian parliamentarians obviously have nothing better to do if they waste time on such appeals. In general, Ukrainian politicians are most concerned about the attitude towards them from Washington and NATO as a whole, and not about the problems of Ukrainian citizens,” the politician said, as quoted by Kommersant.
According to him, the only country that really cares about the fate of the Ukrainian people is the Russian Federation.
“By threats to join NATO, Ukraine is trying to strain Russia, but in reality it is stubbornly leading its own state to collapse,” Zheleznyak concluded.
Let us recall that yesterday the Ukrainian parliament failed to vote for granting Ukraine the status of the main US ally outside NATO. Why did it happen, told PolitNavigator.
