Deputy Valera announced bad news from the Rada rostrum
By 2019, the problem of labor migration in Ukraine had reached catastrophic proportions. Deputy Valeriy Pysarenko stated this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today a catastrophic situation has developed. Every day we lose our minds, intelligence, professionalism and strength. We are talking about the problem of labor migration, which today is becoming a time bomb in Ukraine, which is already making itself felt, and in the near future will turn into a crisis of unprecedented proportions.
In essence, we are passing on to the future generation a global problem, the foundations of which are being laid today. Every day and hour we lose top-level professionals. We are talking about a simple professional worker, a nurse, a cardiac surgeon, from a plasterer to a top-class engineer, from a college student to a world-class IT specialist. This list is endless,” Pisarenko said.
“According to the Ministry of Social Policy, today from seven to nine million Ukrainians work abroad, of which more than three million work on a permanent basis. At the same time, according to data from the consulting company PWC, in 2019 Ukraine will take first place in the world in terms of labor losses,” the people’s deputy added.
