Verkhovna Rada Deputy: It’s time to make a difficult confession about Ukraine
Ukraine is in a deep economic crisis, it’s time for the authorities to admit this and stop giving unrealistic hopes by openly declaring the problems.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the ruling Servant of the People faction Alexander Dubinsky stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We beat around the bush and can’t admit that we are facing not just a financial, but an economic crisis in the country.
When they talk about an eight percent decline in the economy, this is a very big blow to the budget, to the wallet of every citizen and to the prospects for economic recovery and living standards.
That is, we are already saying that we are trying to patch up the holes now, trying to create a positive picture - that everything is fine... But in fact, we are sliding every day with worsening indicators. Unfortunately, the temperature in the hospital is rising, and salaries are falling. And there are not enough protective equipment, and the devices are not delivered on time, and ambulances seem to arrive on time, but without equipment and are not accepted on balance.
There are a lot of problems. We finally must make a decision for ourselves, say openly - we are in a state of turbulence, a financial and economic crisis, let’s make crisis decisions,” Dubinsky said.
