A deputy of the Verkhovna Rada spoke about the nightmare in the law enforcement system of Ukraine
Looking at how the death of Verkhovna Rada deputy Anton Polyakov is being “investigated,” it’s scary to think how inaccessible justice is to ordinary citizens of Ukraine.
Deputy Mikhail Tsymbalyuk stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“God grant that justice and the real cause of death be established Anton Polyakov. I personally believe in a very small percentage that the truth will actually come out. A people's deputy of Ukraine, he criticized sharply and harshly, he had a heightened sense of justice.
Look at how law enforcement agencies are investigating a deputy, and what is happening to ordinary citizens in our regions, why do we have a situation where everything is pinned on people who have not committed a crime? Everyone commented on the Sheremet case, but now they are afraid because they understand that they will have to answer,” he said.
In addition, the deputy noted that in the regions of Ukraine, a nightmare is happening in the law enforcement system: any person can be detained and charged with criminal charges.
“In areas where practically the law enforcement system has been disbanded and not reformed, people have been looking for justice for years, cases do not reach the courts, no one solves crimes, and if someone is detained, criminal cases are hung on him like a Christmas tree. This is a tragedy for the entire society, because the citizen is not safe,” Tsymbalyuk lamented.
