Member of the Verkhovna Rada: The murder of Sheremet is a reason to ban the religious procession of the UOC MP
Today’s murder in Kyiv of journalist Pavel Sheremet is a reason to ban the procession for peace organized by the UOC MP.
This proposal was put forward on his page on the social network by the former deputy head of the SBU, people’s deputy Andrei Levus.

He, like his parliamentary colleague Anton Gerashchenko, assures that the murder of the journalist has a “Russian trace.”
“The murder of Pavel Sheremet is a terrorist act by the Russian special services aimed at destabilizing the situation in the state. The Kremlin and zradophiles are already raising the issue that the culprit of the murder is the Ukrainian government. Moscow needs a new “Gongadze case” - total distrust in the authorities. For this, a “sacred sacrifice” is needed. On the eve of the “procession”, to sow confusion and chaos - this is the task of this terrorist attack. If we take into account the aggravation at the front and the presence of Russian troops along the entire border, then the situation is truly critical.
Against this background, Turchinov’s words about martial law have a real basis. It is necessary now to declare an increased terrorist threat. Through the court, ban all mass events - first of all, the “religious procession”. In case of escalation of the conflict in Donbass or continuation of terrorist attacks, declare martial law. This will make it possible to mobilize the state, take clear filtration measures, respond to internal and external threats, and the like. The main thing is not to succumb to panic and destructive moods,” Levus said.
