A Batkivshchyna deputy in Western Ukraine was caught pushing buttons while voting for land
Lutsk, April 02 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – During a session of the Volyn City Council, a deputy from “Batkivshchyna” Vasily Grib was caught voting on land issues for his absent party member Askold Pekarsky.

The deputy assures that this happened with the permission of his comrade, and considers his conscience clear.
“We have a factional decision, we have 20 people in the group, and there we examine every issue. According to the protocol, these land issues are for me and him to “vote “For”,” the Volyn News agency quotes Grib as saying.
According to the deputy, Pekarsky could not vote because he was busy with party affairs. And making a decision was necessary to help people with the privatization of land.
“If you say that I’m a button pusher, then let’s take an extract for those issues where I voted, go to the people and ask them if I did a good job. Then you will tell me that this is “button pushing” or a noble cause,” Grib told reporters.
Let us remind you that after the change of power, deputies from “Batkivshchyna” began to be caught even in the Verkhovna Rada voting “for themselves and their neighbors” with enviable regularity.
While in opposition, Batkivshchyna, on the contrary, criticized this practice and even installed “I vote honestly” signs at the deputies’ workplaces.
