Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada were offered to vote like Klitschko
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, proposed to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, to install a voting system in parliament that excludes non-personal voting - the same as the one that works in the Kyiv City Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He made this proposal on the air of the program “Freedom of Speech by Savik Shuster,” Klitschko’s press service reports.
“The unified system of personal voting, which makes it impossible to press buttons - “Rada-4” - has been working in the City Council for almost 4 years! And such a system can be installed in parliament. There is no need to invent anything. Everything is already there and working. When we installed it, they told me that we already had a majority in the City Council and that we had enough votes to make decisions. But, I answered that there can always be a great temptation to bypass the system, to vote for someone. So we installed a new system. I am convinced that voting for another person is political corruption,” said the Kiev mayor, who was recently fired from his post as head of the capital city state administration.
