Zelensky's deputies have to be taught to write and count
The leadership of the Ukrainian pro-presidential party Servant of the People, which received a majority in the new parliament, will face a serious problem in the Rada.
Moscow political scientist Andrei Okara, who sympathizes with the Ukrainian Maidan protesters, spoke about this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“All the “wedding photographers” around Zelensky - they don’t really know each other. And those who now find themselves in the Rada are people from some parallel worlds. And suddenly they became one team. They are now being trained in some sanatorium in Truskavets. It turned out that not everyone there even has a higher education. And they need to learn not only state law - or the theory of political systems, or the practice of legislative work. Judging by some data, some deputies need to be taught to write and count,” the expert said.
At the same time, he clarified that this kind of training is not needed in a figurative sense.
“Teach literacy in the literal sense of the word,” added the political scientist.
According to him, a significant part of the Servant of the People deputies who became parliamentarians in majoritarian constituencies had nothing to do with politics.
“They became deputies not in the most disinterested way. And some of them have their own local sponsors. Some local “reputable businessmen”. And there is no guarantee that, once in parliament, these candidates will vote exactly as the leadership of the Servant of the People party and Razumkov need. And not according to some other “decision-making logic”. And this is a big question - how many of these people will have to be trained. Strengthen party discipline,” Okara concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, deputies from Servant of the People are urgently sent to “hard training” in Truskavets.
