Deputies of the State Council of Crimea will become inviolable
Simferopol, September 3 (PolitNavigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The Crimean parliament adopted on Wednesday in the first reading the law on the status of a deputy of the State Council of the republic. The corresponding document was voted for today at an extraordinary session of parliament.

According to the text of the document, the State Council deputy will be elected for a five-year term. He cannot simultaneously be a State Duma deputy or a member of the Federation Council, or hold public positions in executive bodies.
It is also indicated that a deputy of the State Council, elected on the list of a political party, cannot leave the faction in which he is a member. In addition, the law requires elected representatives and members of his family to report their income annually.
But most importantly, according to the text of the law, deputies of the State Council receive a guarantee of immunity.
“Deputies enjoy immunity throughout their entire term of office,” the document says.
In addition, deputies of the State Council have the right to use official transport and communications at state expense. They are also reimbursed for the costs of rented housing or provided with a service apartment.
