Deputies want to obtain the exclusive right to park cars on the central square of Sevastopol
Sevastopol, May 21 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) - Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol from the Communist Party demand permission to park on Nakhimov Square.
The corresponding statement was made by the head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation faction Vasily Parkhomenko during a meeting of the Presidium of the Legislative Assembly.

Let us remind you that two weeks ago, by order of the acting Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo, the parking lot on the main square of the city was eliminated. The official justified his decision as follows: “They don’t park cars on Red Square - and we won’t have parking here. The historical center is for people to walk and relax.”
The initiative of the city leader caused a mixed reaction from motorists. Cars began to be parked on Nakhimov Avenue (both on the sidewalks and at pedestrian crossings), which leads to constant traffic jams, especially during rush hour.
Now the deputies of the Legislative Assembly have rebelled.
Vasily Parkhomenko said: “I like that Sergei Ivanovich is bringing order to the city center. Nakhimov Square was closed. But I would like to have clarity on how to get to the session of the Legislative Assembly, to the presidium? Is there a list of cars that have access here and who don’t?”
The head of the Legislative Assembly, Yuri Doynikov, said that on Friday at the session he would appeal to the Admiral-Governor of Sevastopol with a request to make an exception for deputies and employees of the Legislative Assembly apparatus.
At the same time, a source in the Government of Sevastopol, in a private conversation with a Navigator correspondent, said that “the boss is unlikely to compromise and will indulge the deputies.”
