Rada deputies are going to Colombia to apply the experience there in the Donbass
Ukrainian parliamentarians will go to Colombia to study the experience of reintegration and inclusive post-conflict dialogue, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko reported this on Facebook.
“I will spend this week, together with several colleagues from parliament, in Colombia, where we will study the experience of reintegration and inclusive post-conflict dialogue. The trip is financed by the organizers; no money is spent on this visit from the Verkhovna Rada budget,” reports Gerashchenko.
Let us remind you that negotiations to end the long-term civil war between the central government and Marxist rebels from the FARC were recently completed in Colombia with the signing of a peace agreement. According to the terms of the treaty, the rebels must disarm under the guarantee of an amnesty. Obviously, inspired by precisely this experience, Ukrainian deputies are going to Colombia.
