Rada deputies began holding meetings with citizens of Ukraine in Crimea
Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, member of the “Opposition Bloc” Yevgeny Balitsky considers Crimea annexed by the Russian Federation, but this does not prevent him from freely traveling to the peninsula.
He stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The parliamentarian said that he is now in Crimea and is holding meetings with “citizens of Ukraine,” emphasizing that he considers the peninsula to be Ukrainian territory.
He also added that he regularly communicates with representatives of the FSB, meaning Russian border guards, when passing the checkpoint in Chongar.
“Formally, I communicated, because otherwise I would not have entered the territory that is today annexed by the Russian Federation. I meet here mainly with our citizens, if we all agree that Crimea is Ukraine. I also met a number of people who are my friends from the regions. And I never refuse friendship for political reasons,” Balitsky said.
Earlier, Balitsky said that citizens of Ukraine can absolutely travel to Crimea calmly and not be afraidthat they will be interrogated or detained by the FSB if they do not break the laws.
Also he saidthat Ukraine temporarily lost part of its territories and admitted that he has real estate, and his son permanently resides in Crimea.
