Deputies of Sevastopol for the second time failed to pass the law on patent taxation

Sevastopol, July 22 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – Deputies of the Legislative Assembly at the session on Tuesday considered the updated tax rates proposed by the government to be too high and proposed to “rework” them further.

Deputy Gennady Basov from the Russian Bloc noted that the cost of some patents, for example, for the rental of non-residential real estate, in Sevastopol is higher than in the central regions of Russia. Thus, in Ryazan the level of income from renting out premises is 21 thousand rubles, and in Sevastopol - 32 thousand.

“We are in a transition period; we do not live in the richest region of Russia. In difficult, transitional times, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, not oligarchs, cannot be placed in such conditions that they will pay more than they earn,” the deputy said.

“Patents should be as minimal as possible in order to save entrepreneurs from unaffordable tax payments,” added Basov.

As a result, the deputies suggested that the developers draw up a comparative table of the cost of patents by region of the Russian Federation, so that they can then return to consideration of the law.

The arguments of the head of the budget commission, Pyotr Kudryashov, who assured that in Russia the rates under the patent system are significantly lower than under the general taxation system, did not help in making the decision. Deputies voted down the question with 14 votes in favor.
