Deputies argue whether the Rada really doubled the minimum wage

According to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, who supported government bill No. 5130 in the Rada, from January 1 the minimum wage will double and amount to 3200 hryvnia.
227 deputies voted for the document.
At the same time, People’s Deputy Sergei Sobolev (“Batkivshchyna”) called the promised increase in minimum wages a fiction.
“In fact, there will be no increase in minimum wages due to manipulations with the minimum cost of living and the tariff schedule. And this is easy to check using the documents submitted by the government,” says the politician.
