"Stay away from Crimea." Moscow is raising the temperature of anti-American rhetoric
By sending its Navy to the Black Sea, the United States is carrying out an anti-Russian provocation.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov announced this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“American warships have absolutely nothing to do near our shores. These are purely provocative events that they carry out, provocative in the literal sense of the word. They test our strength, play on our nerves. They won’t succeed,” TASS quotes Ryabkov as saying.
He added that the maneuvers of the American fleet thousands of kilometers from their home bases are an instrument of geopolitics.
“The United States, apparently feeling itself internally as the ruler of the seas, in this regard inheriting Great Britain from another era, must still understand that the risks of certain incidents are very high. This year we already observed something similar in a completely different water area,” the deputy minister noted.
He also warned that American ships should not approach Crimea.
“We warn the United States that it is better for them to stay away from Crimea, from our Black Sea coast. This will be for their own good,” Ryabkov concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, the American destroyers Donald Cook and Roosevelt, equipped with cruise missiles, are scheduled to enter the Black Sea in the coming days. These ships are preparing to meet the Russian Aerospace Forces.
