Chubarov's cheap PR will end after the UN General Assembly
By blockading Crimea, the Mejlis members are trying to attract attention to themselves, realizing that the topic of the Crimean Tatars is no longer heard.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of System Analysis and Policy Management, Ruslan Borntnik, according to whom the blockade pursues two goals.
“The first and most important thing is to prepare a certain atmosphere before Putin’s speech at the UN General Assembly on September 28, creating a negative climate for him,” the expert believes. – On the other hand, to create the ground for Poroshenko to raise the issue of Crimea, the Crimean Tatars, that is, to promote topics that have not been heard lately. Crimean Tatars understand that they are beginning to be forgotten, their influence in Crimea is decreasing, and therefore they are trying to self-actualize.”
The political scientist also noted that there are still motives in favor of the version of control over economic flows, but believes them to be secondary.
“I think this blockade of Crimea will last a little longer than the end of the UN General Assembly, after which it will fade away and become of no interest to anyone,” Bortnik concluded.
