About it Deutsche Welle reports.

The map is included in German language textbooks for levels B1.1 and B1.2 for migrants. It was published by the government-backed language testing organization TELC and went on sale in July 2016.

It is noted that the organization expressed regret over the “printing of an inaccurate map” and emphasized that it was not trying to make a “political statement.”

TELC has also promised to republish textbooks that contain this image.

Earlier, there was a stir in the Ukrainian media due to the fact that Germany published a textbook in which a map was printed with Crimea as part of Russia.
